Changes

These past few months we have experienced tremendous shifts in our living situation and day to day life. Many of my friends have also experienced these changes in jobs and living situations, so I know our family is not unique or is experiencing anything unusual.

Before the changes really kicked in I was most concerned about our youngest son Ben. He is nine and I was worried that he would have a difficult time leaving our friends and life in one state and moving to another.

Ironically he seems to be adjusting to our new life better than all of us. He has found a few friends and started playing soccer this week.

I joined two choirs and plan to work hard to improve my singing.

My oldest children are finding their footing and my husband Paul seems to be settling in, happy as a clam, living in the home where he grew up during the first 25 years of his life.

The outpouring of loving support and friendship by neighbors, friends from church, and the many family members who live close by has been overwhelming and frankly, unbelievable. I am grateful for the love and friendship.
